Zest for life as an architectural concept
Hotel Dom was built at the start of the 1960s. Shops were located ground floor of the then exceptionally modern old town hotel, with the hotel premises on the upper storeys. When Förderraum took over the hotel in 1998, a new structure was implemented. In 2005, the hotel was expanded with a restaurant and the reception moved to the ground floor.
In a complete renovation in 2010, all of the guest rooms were renovated, and infrastructure and technology were updated. Thanks to these and other steps, Hotel Dom moved up to the 3-star segment. In 2019, the roof was renovated, and the upper storeys were converted: Budget rooms and linen rooms made way for 10 brand new superior design rooms with air conditioning.
Despite renovations and restructuring, Hotel Dom still remains true to the spirit of the 60s. Language of forms and colour selection are based on the design concept of an era that stands for upswing, optimism and zest for life, and represents the values that have been actively implemented since the start at Hotel Dom.
